This isn’t judo as normal, but…

    Hello Sensei,
I am the chair of the USJF COVID-19 Ad Hoc committee and our committee’s goals are to promote and increase access to quality judo, expand the judo community, and raise funds to support dojos.  We are the coordinators of the
COVID-19 Support Grant and want to continue to be a resource for our community.  In an effort to fulfill this mission, in the coming weeks, we will be encouraging people to donate for the Open Mat events on our
community website.  However, our first priority is to provide access to quality judo and
we ask that you share about our event and freely provide the link/password to your membership!  IF you would like to donate to this event, please visit the USJF Community website events page.
Our next event is on Wednesday, Oct 28th at 5:00pm Pacific Time with Arash Soofiani.

  • Latest COVID-19 Guidance from the USJF

I just wanted to update everyone on the latest guidance from the USJF regarding practice.
It looks like the USJF describes 5 phases w/r/t getting back on the mat.
The first time it looks like we can practice is phase 4 according to the USJF.
This looks like it happens when there is no longer any restriction on public gatherings.
So I think this all means it will still be a while before we are back on the mat.
I hope everyone is doing well these days.
Keep working out so you are ready to practice when we can.
    The USJF document is here.
I am happy to discuss this with anyone.

Here is the update from the end of August regarding COVID19.
Let me know if I can answer any questions.

  • Hundred Pushups!

The sad news is that there is no judo for 6 weeks. The good news is that this is the perfect opportunity to do 100 pushups.
And coincidentally this is a 6 week program.
    Go to: hundred pushups
Let’s all get there by the time we are on the mat again. Start with week 1.

  • Spokane Judo Moving

As most of you know, we are moving from Rings-&-Things to a new location at Lilac City Fit Body Boot Camp.
Saturday March 14 (Pi day) is the big move. We need all your help to get our mats moved.
We are planning to meet at Rings-&-Things at 8:00 to move the mats.
Please join us to help with the move.

  • Last Night at Rings-&-Things!

Come one come all for the last night of practice at Rings-&-Things! We need everyone on Saturday to help us move, but come to practice tonight to enjoy our old space one last time. Hope to see everyone there!
