  • Spokane Judo Patches

    Thanks to Tim Neal, we now have Spokane Judo patches which can be sown onto your gi. For those competing in tournaments, the club will provide two patches free of charge. If anyone wishes to buy extra patches or is not a competitor but wishes to buy some patches the cost is $5 each. I will bring the patches on Monday 6/6 so bring your money if you wish to buy patches then.

  • Congratulations

    Trinity took second at the Budokan tournament on 5/14/2011. She won three of her matches using pins (nothing is more satisfying than making someone lose on the mat). Also Tavares competed and won his first match by ippon. He was then forced to withdraw from the tournament due to injuries. We hope you heal soon Tavares.

    On 4/30/2011 starting at 6:00AM, USA judo will be streaming all the matches from one of the mats at the Senior Nationals. To watch, go here.

  • Special Congratulations

    Not only did John Yen win his weight division, he also won the grand championship for the tournament.

    You should read and be familiar with these as they pertain to your next promotion.

  • Various Judo Throws Photos

    I just uploaded various Judo throw photos to our photo page I’m currently  working on how to put the names of the throws either in the pictures or of  a way to be able to list them. Check it out and say any suggestions.

  • Special Promotion

    I clearly remember all of my black belt promotions. I will also always remember this promotion as it is my first promotion to nidan.
    I am truly pleased and proud to announce the promotion of John Yen to nidan.
    After the promotion, John asked me if I could please take it back. I responded that it is not something I give or take away, he has earned the promotion. All I did was recognize his achievement.
    John, congratulations!
