  • 64th Annual Obukan Judo Shiai & Kata/ Onchi Sensei Memorial Tournament

    Obukan is pleased to invite you to our 64th annual tournament on Saturday, March 21st (Kata – Friday, March 20th) at the beautiful PCC Cascade campus gym! 

    We are looking forward to seeing you all and having an amazing tournament! 

    So, please join us for the 64th Annual Obukan Judo Shiai & Kata/ Onchi Sensei Memorial Tournament! This year starts our journey towards 100 years of doing
    judo in Portland, Oregon. Opening our dojo doors in 1926 and being visited twice by Jigoro Kano Shihan. With you we are all keeping the judo traditions
    alive. We look forward to seeing you and your awesome judo on March 21, 2020.  So mark your calendars and help us start our 6 year journey towards 100!

  • Congratulations to Alaina

    Alaina recently competed in a tournament in Germany (taking bronze!).

  • 2020 WA State Championships

    The 2020 Washington State Judo Championships will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Kentwood High School, 25800 164th Ave. SE, Covington, WA  98042,
    presented by Seatte Dojo.  Registration instructions and satellite weigh-in details are here. 
    Registration for shiai and kata competitors is online
    exclusively and the deadline is 11:55pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2020.

  • Alaina Competing in Germany

    On Feb. 8, Alaina will be at the German Open competing. After the tournament there is a 2 day training camp.
    I am sure she will do an excellent job representing Spokane Judo.

  • 2019 Rainier Cup Judo Championships (online registration link & information packet)

    Here is the link to register for the 2019 Rainier Cup Judo Championships to be held at Pierce College (Fort Steilacoom Campus) on Saturday, October 12th,
    2019. 
    1. This will be a 100% paperless registration form. You MUST register online only using the link provided below. There will be NO paper entry forms or
    waivers available. 
    2. You MUST have a Google email account (Gmail) to register. 
    3. You MUST pay online via PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account. Just a valid cred it card or check card. 
    4. You MUST upload a current Judo card to complete your registration (The athletes card cannot expire before October 12th, 2019).
    5. ALL team/club leaders will be required to execute an accurate remote weigh-in for all participants. The participants weights must be recorded in pounds
    and emailed to rainiercup@yahoo.com by TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8TH, 2019 BY MIDNIGHT. 
    6. A complete information packet is on the online registration.
    7. Venue doors will open at 7am. Opening ceremonies will be at 9:45am. The tournament will start at 10am.
