2017 WA State Championship Results
I was really pleased with the number of people from our club that attended the tournament last Saturday. All the competitors did well.
Those who didn’t come home with a medal still deserve our recognition for showing up and fighting. Everyone has a bad day now and then. The only solution is train more for the next one!
The next one is in 6 weeks here in Spokane, so come and let’s train hard.

Chris and Ben Mitchell competed this weekend in Portland. Both of them did very well. Chris took 1st in the Masters division. In addition, Allen Monroe worked refereeing the tournament. All of them definitely made the rest of us at Spokane Judo look extremely good.

This tournament is here in Liberty Lake. It is hard to get much closer!
The tournament is on Saturday April 15.
Everyone should take this opportunity to compete.
All contestants born before 2009 will need to have both blue and white gis. For those born 2009 or later, a blue gi is optional.

Seiwakan Judojo and Shudokan Judo Dojo are presenting this competition. The competition is on Saturday, Dec. 17 in Portland. The competition is in the afternoon and a kata workshop is held in the morning. Novices are encouraged to attend.

2016 RAINIER CUP JUDO CHAMPIONSHIPS Results
I wanted to congratulate Ben and Chris Mitchell for their performance at the tournament last weekend. Both Ben and Chris did an excellent job. Chris took 3rd place and unfortunately, Ben did not place.
It is easy to get caught up in how you could do better, but showing up and competing is an achievement in itself.
